About The Farm:

Emily McKay re-imagines our world in the aftermath of a terrifying vampire apocalypse. Told in the alternating viewpoints of teenage twin sisters, McKay’s dystopian YA novel is a story of courage and perseverance that will have readers at the edge of their seats.

After a viral epidemic sweeps the nation humans are turned into monsters called ticks—vampiric creatures with blood lust and no conscience. Adults are forced to flee and teenagers are penned up in a college campuses-turned-concentration camps against their will. Lily and her autistic twin sister, Mel, are desperate to escape. Out of nowhere, a familiar face from Lily’s past appears and offers to help them flee the Farm. But can they trust him? Even if they make it past the barbed-wire fences, what dangers await them in the outside world?
