Anna and The French Kiss

Alethea and Kimberly discuss Anna & The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. It's our first podcast, so take it easy on the comments! :D But please, do leave a comment.

This one is spoiler-free... Still working on editing the spoilerific one.

Synopsis from goodreads.com:

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets √Čtienne St. Claire: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.

As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near-misses end with the French kiss Anna—and readers—have long awaited?

  1. Definitely a great podcast review, especially for a first try! I loved the music at the end XD

I also loved Anna and the French Kiss, even though contemporary isn't usually my thing. I can't wait for Lola and the Boy Next Door to come out!

  2. @Cade, it's called "Wild Ride" by Django Reinhardt.... I'm hoping the licensing police don't come after me. Though it would be easy enough to change the music if they wanted; I really like how it fits with the podcast! :D

  3. Awesome podcast! You both made really good points! (And dang, for first-time podcasters, you two did a really good job!)

I'll definitely be looking forward to more of these! :)

  4. Great job! Loved ANNA. :) Looking forward to the spoilerific one!

  5. Thanks, Lauren & Donna! I'm considering doing a lot more podcasts, it's faster than writing for me right now :D

  6. hi girls. great first podcast! no mumbling or anything like that. makes me want to read anna now. i kind of want to listen to the spoilerific version but that would spoil it, boo. so i guess i won't. good job!

  7. Awesome podcast! I'd love it if you did regular podcasts and got it up on iTunes. I loved your voices. You had an interesting, mature discussion of the book. I love your description of the culture shock.
New follower, btw. (I found your blog through your comment on The Story Siren's author/blogger post).
